TWHBEA Youth
Youth and 4-H programs are invaluable tools to help build responsibility, leadership and character.  Many of the activities provided through local 4-H horse programs do not require that the youth own a horse.  These include arts, crafts, horse bowl, poetry, essay contests, public speaking and presentations.

Many youth with horses in 4-H programs may own or lease their project.  With or without a horse, these programs offer the skills and knowledge to promote a greater love for animals and their humane care.  By working with others and supporting community horse events, the youth learn about sportsmanship and friendly competition.

Many of the breed associations offer and encourage youth participation in select activities.  Mouse click on the links in the side bar to explore the opportunities with each one.
